High-Voltage Cable Technician / Fiber Optic Technician (m/f/d)

To support our team, we are seeking a High-Voltage Cable Technician / Fiber Optic Technician (m/f/d) for a full-time position at our location in Burgdorf (near Hanover), to start at the earliest possible date.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Installation, splicing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables (FOC) integrated in high-voltage power cables
  • Performing, analyzing, and documenting OTDR measurements as well as other fiberoptic testing methods
  • Preparing measurement, test, and acceptance reports in accordance with internal standards and customer-specific requirements
  • Troubleshooting, fault analysis, and repair of fiber optic cable routes
  • Preparing, securing, and carrying out work on construction sites in high-voltageinstallations
  • Assisting in the installation of high-voltage cable accessories
  • Supporting commissioning, maintenance, and modification work
  • Close cooperation with site managers, project managers, grid operators, and otherinvolved trades

Profile

  • Preferably completed technical vocational training, e.g. as an electrician, mechatronicstechnician, electrical installer, or a comparable qualification
  • Preferably several years of professional experience in fiber optic splicing technology, ideally in the field of high-voltage cables
  • Experience in performing and evaluating OTDR measurements
  • Confident handling of splicing equipment and modern fiber optic measurementtechnology
  • Responsible use of tools, measuring instruments, and work equipment
  • Basic knowledge of relevant occupational health, safety, and quality regulations in thehigh-voltage environment
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and perform assignments across Germany
  • Physical resilience and the ability to work safely under demanding environmental conditions (e.g. outdoors, in adverse weather conditions)
  • Independent, structured, and safety-oriented working style
  • Team player with a professional demeanor when dealing with customers and clients
  • Good or developing German and English language skills, both written and spoken, fordocumentation and communication purposes
  • Basic IT skills for reporting and documentation
  • Valid driving license, at least category B
